
Boiled Beans with Vegetables

Ingredients
- Beans 1 cup
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
- Onion 2 pieces
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Carrot 1 piece
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse any beans and soak them in room temperature water for 3 hours.
Step 2
Drain the water, add fresh water in a ratio of 1 cup of beans to 3 cups of water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 1 hour 10 minutes.
Step 3
While the beans are cooking, peel and slice the tomatoes, onion, garlic, and carrot.
Step 4
After 1 hour 10 minutes of cooking the beans, add the chopped vegetables, stir with the beans, season with salt, cover, and simmer for another 20 minutes.
