Beets stewed in sour cream
Ingredients
- Yellow Beets 20 oz
- Carrot 1 piece
- Parsley 1 piece
- Vinegar essence 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Sour Cream 1 jar
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel and rinse the beets. Wash and peel the carrot. Cut the vegetables into strips, add finely chopped parsley or celery root. Place the vegetables in a pot, add vegetable oil and vinegar, pour in a small amount of water, and stir. Cover the pot with a lid and stew the vegetables for 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally and ensuring they do not burn.
Step 2
When the vegetables are ready, add flour to the pot, stir, then add sour cream, sugar, and bay leaf. Season with salt and stir again. Then boil for another 10 minutes.
