Ingredients
- Lean Beef 20 oz
- Salad Potatoes 35 oz
- Turnips 10 oz
- Onion 10 oz
- Pitted Wild Apricots 5 oz
- Salt 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Rinse the prunes, pour boiling water over them, and let them sit for a while.
Step 3
Peel, wash, and cut the onion into pieces of 1–2 cm.
Step 4
Peel, wash, and cut the carrots into pieces of 1–2 cm.
Step 5
Peel, wash, and cut the potatoes into pieces of 1–2 cm.
Step 6
Cover with cold water and let them sit for a while.
Step 7
Wash the beef, pat it dry, remove any membranes and tendons if present. Cut into pieces of 1–2 cm.
Step 8
Drain the water from the prunes, pat them dry, and cut into pieces of 1–2 cm.
Step 9
Drain the water from the potatoes, place them at the bottom of a glass baking dish, and sprinkle with salt. Layer the onion and carrots on top. Add the prunes and beef on top of the vegetables. Sprinkle with salt.
Step 10
Place in the preheated oven at 390°F for 1.5 hours.
