Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
- Beef chuck roast 5 lbs
- Veal Shank 5 oz
- Tomatoes 10 oz
- Bacon 1 piece
- Onion 750 heads
- Garlic 0 lbs
- Dry White Wine 4 tablespoons
- Carrot 1 piece
- Thyme 1 bunch
- Bay leaf 3 pieces
- Clove 3 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 320°F. In a large ovenproof skillet over high heat, heat the oil. Sear the beef and transfer it to a large bowl.
Step 2
Sauté the chopped bacon and veal, then return the beef to the skillet.
Step 3
Coarsely chop the onion, add it to the skillet with the meat, and sauté until the onion becomes soft.
Step 4
Pour in the wine, add the coarsely chopped carrot, whole tomatoes, peeled garlic cloves, thyme, bay leaves, and pour in 4 cups of water.
Step 5
Season with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid and place in the oven. Bake for 3-4 hours until the meat is tender. Before serving, remove the bay leaves. Enjoy your meal!
