Description

Along with the tomatoes, you can also sauté asparagus, briefly immersing it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes beforehand.

Ingredients

  • Olive Oil 3 spoons
  • Salt 4 spoons
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Veal Tenderloin 0 lbs
  • Marinated cherries 20 oz
  • Thyme 6 pieces
  • Fresh basil leaves ½ bunches

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Season four beef steaks with salt and pepper, and sear them in hot olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet for 5 minutes on each side.

Step 2

Transfer the seared steaks to a baking tray and place them on the middle rack of the oven. Cook at 345°F for 6 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the steaks from the oven and let them cool for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Meanwhile, crush the garlic using a garlic press and sauté it (in the same pan where the meat was cooked) over low heat with two tablespoons of olive oil.

Step 5

After about 2 minutes, add the cherry tomatoes and thyme to the garlic. Gently stir to avoid crushing the tomatoes.

Step 6

As soon as the tomatoes start to wilt (after 2 minutes), remove them from the heat and serve them on plates along with the steaks and sprigs of basil.
