Ingredients

  • Flank Steak 0 lbs
  • Chicken Egg 3 pieces
  • Potato 0 lbs
  • Onion 5 oz
  • Celery stalk 2 pieces
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Ketchup 5 oz
  • TABASCO® 1 tablespoon
  • Parsley 0 oz
  • Rosemary 3 stalks
  • Scallions to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 445°F. Boil the potatoes until partially cooked (about five to ten minutes). Drain the water, transfer the potatoes to a bowl, and gently mash them.

Step 2

Rub the beef (flank steak) with salt and pepper, sear it in a skillet, and cut into small pieces.

Step 3

In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the finely chopped onion and celery in butter for a couple of minutes, then transfer them to a bowl with the potatoes. Add the beef, finely chopped parsley and rosemary, ketchup, Tabasco sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Transfer everything into an oven-safe pot and pack it tightly. Keep the pot on medium heat for about two to three minutes, then move it to the oven and bake for another fifteen to twenty minutes until a brown crust forms.

Step 4

Transfer the hash to a plate and garnish with half a boiled egg and finely chopped green onions.
