Beef in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • Ground coriander 1 bunch
  • Lamb Neck Fillet 0 lbs
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Tomatoes 5 pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Adjika 1 teaspoon
  • Black Cumin (Cumin) ½ teaspoon
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Fresh basil leaves 1 bunch
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Finely chop the beef fillet (into strips or cubes) and place it in a heavy-bottomed pot. Add a little cold water and simmer over medium heat until cooked. The meat should be tender and easy to chew. During cooking, add salt. If necessary, you can add boiled water.

Step 2

Chop the onion into half-rings and add it to the meat when the water has evaporated, then simmer.

Step 3

Peel the tomatoes. To do this, make a cross-cut on them, pour boiling water over them, wait a couple of minutes, drain the boiling water, and immerse the tomatoes in cold water. Remove the skin. Chop the tomatoes and place them in the pot with the meat and onion. Simmer until the tomato mixture turns into a sauce.

Step 4

When the tomatoes have cooked down, add adjika, garlic, cumin, and mix everything thoroughly. Simmer for a couple more minutes.

Step 5

Add finely chopped cilantro and oregano, then turn off the heat.

Step 6

As a side dish, you can serve boiled rice, buckwheat, or mashed potatoes.
