Ingredients
- Beef 25 oz
- Fat 0 oz
- Onion 10 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 0 oz
- Marjoram 1 tablespoon
- Campbell's Beef Broth 20 fl oz
- Ginger Green Wine 20 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into 4 cm cubes. Melt the fat in a heavy-bottomed skillet. Sear the meat (a few cubes at a time) until browned.
Step 2
Remove the meat and sauté the onion in the fat until soft. Add the flour and cook for another 2 minutes, then add the sugar, spices, herbs, broth, and ale, bringing it to a boil.
Step 3
Return the meat to the pot, cover tightly with a lid, and braise in the oven at 355°F for about 2 hours until the meat is tender. Season to taste.
