  • Onion 10 oz
  • Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar 0 oz
  • Marjoram 1 tablespoon
  • Campbell's Beef Broth 20 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the meat into 4 cm cubes. Melt the fat in a heavy-bottomed skillet. Sear the meat (a few cubes at a time) until browned.

Remove the meat and sauté the onion in the fat until soft. Add the flour and cook for another 2 minutes, then add the sugar, spices, herbs, broth, and ale, bringing it to a boil.

Step 3

Return the meat to the pot, cover tightly with a lid, and braise in the oven at 355°F for about 2 hours until the meat is tender. Season to taste.
