Description

A classic of American cuisine. Store-bought barbecue sauce serves as the base for a homemade sauce, to which balsamic vinegar and water—widely used in American cooking, just like anywhere else—will be added.

Ingredients

  • Pork Skewers 2⅖ kg
  • Barbecue sauce 10 oz
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Green peppercorns 10 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Balsamic Vinegar 5 fl oz
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the pork ribs into four portions, rub them with salt and ground pepper, brush with vegetable oil, and grill or fry in a skillet.

Step 2

Transfer to a saucepan. Add garlic and peppercorns. In a separate bowl, mix 200 grams of barbecue sauce, vinegar, and one and a half liters of water. Pour this mixture over the ribs, bring to a boil, and cook covered on low heat for about an hour (or even longer), until the meat easily separates from the bones when tested. Allow the ribs to cool in the liquid after removing the saucepan from the heat.

Step 3

After that, the ribs should be removed, and the fat should be carefully skimmed off the surface of the marinade.

Step 4

Reduce the marinade until it reaches the consistency of a thick sauce, adding the remaining barbecue sauce.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 355°F. Brush the ribs with the prepared sauce and place them in the oven for five to seven minutes.

Step 6

Serve the ribs with spicy pickled peppers, for example.
