Ingredients

  • Chicken gizzards 20 oz
  • Pearl barley 5 oz
  • Onion 5 oz
  • Carrot 5 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse well and separate the fat from the gizzards, soak in regular water for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Chop the carrot and onion in any convenient way (it doesn't matter) and place them in the slow cooker bowl. Sauté until golden brown in baking mode (10-15 minutes).

Step 3

Mix the gizzards and pearl barley and add to the sautéed vegetables. Stir well, season with salt, and add spices to your taste.

Step 4

Pour water over the mixture just enough to cover it slightly and cook in stewing mode for 1 hour 30 minutes. Enjoy your meal...
