Barley Porridge
Ingredients
- Barley 10 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Brown Sugar 2 teaspoons
- Cinnamon ¼ teaspoon
- Chopped Walnuts 2 tablespoons
- 30% Cream to taste
- Fruits to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour the barley with 3 cups of water, add salt, and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and let it simmer for another 40 minutes until the grains are soft. Drain any remaining water.
Step 2
Mix the barley with milk, sugar, and cinnamon, and place the mixture in a pan. Continue cooking over medium heat for 15 minutes until the milk evaporates.
Step 3
Divide the porridge into 2 bowls, sprinkle with walnuts, and generously drizzle with cream. Optionally, garnish with pieces of fruit.
