  • Pearl barley 2 cups
  • Butter 4 tablespoons
  • Aspen mushrooms 5 oz
  • Sour Cream 5 oz
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
  • Hard Cheese 0 oz
  • Parsley to taste
  • Dill to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sort the barley, rinse it, pour in 3 cups of hot water, and cook until thickened.

Step 2

Clean the mushrooms, rinse them, and chop finely.

Step 3

Peel the onion, wash it, slice it into thin half-rings, and sauté it with the mushrooms in melted butter.

Step 4

Mix the sautéed mushrooms and onion with the barley, cover the pot with a lid, and place it in a preheated oven to stew for 40 minutes.

Step 5

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

Step 6

Cool the cooked barley, transfer it to a saucepan, beat in the eggs, season with salt, sprinkle with grated cheese, and return to the oven for 15 minutes.

Step 7

Serve the finished casserole on individual plates, sprinkle with chopped dill and parsley, and serve sour cream on the side.
