Baked Turkey with Vegetables in Fish Sauce Marinade
Main Dishes • American
Description
Recently, I've really enjoyed baking vegetables alongside turkey, which I place directly in the baking dish with the raw meat. Use whatever you like: carrots, potatoes, cabbage. Everything will be delicious as it absorbs the marinade and the meat's juices. I particularly love celery root. I discovered long ago that celery is a very tasty ingredient. It's just not commonly cooked, which is why we don't know how to prepare it, and thus it doesn't taste good. Baked large pieces of celery, soaked in meat juices, are, believe me, very delicious.
Ingredients
- Turkey 0 lbs
- Fish Oil to taste
- Turmeric to taste
- Rosemary to taste
- Celery salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the marinade, mix fish sauce, turmeric, and any herbs you like. I use dried rosemary, sometimes basil. There's no need to add salt, as both sauces contain plenty.
Step 2
Place the prepared meat in a bowl with the marinade and refrigerate it for as long as possible.
Step 3
When it's time to cook, take the turkey out and transfer it to a baking dish.
Step 4
Add a little water on top.
Step 5
Cover with a piece of foil and bake in the oven for about an hour, depending on the size of the meat.
