Baked Pumpkin with Stewed Meat
Ingredients
- Pumpkin 1 piece
- Beef 5 lbs
- Salad Potatoes 10 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Turnips 3 pieces
- Celery stalk 2 pieces
- Tomatoes 3 pieces
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Take one whole pumpkin (10-12 kg) and carefully cut off the top, removing the insides (seeds and fibers). Do not throw away the top.
Step 2
Cut the potatoes, celery, and carrots into cubes, the tomatoes and pepper into wedges, and slice the onion into rings. Mince the garlic.
Step 3
Cut the beef into medium-sized cubes and stew it with the vegetables and spices for about 1 hour.
Step 4
Transfer the stewed meat with vegetables into the hollowed-out pumpkin and cover it with the top.
Step 5
Brush the outside of the pumpkin with vegetable oil and bake in the oven at 345°F for 2 hours.
Step 6
Before serving, place the finished pumpkin on a large platter.
