Ingredients

  • Onion 1 head
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Olive Oil 5 tablespoons
  • Ground meat 20 oz
  • Passata Tomato Sauce 1 cup
  • Fresh basil leaves 6 pieces
  • Bay leaf 3 pieces
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 0 oz
  • Penne rigate 20 oz
  • Chocolate eggs 5 pieces
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 5 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Puff Pastry 10 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Chop the onion coarsely and mince the garlic. In a skillet over medium heat, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic.

Step 2

Then add the ground meat and cook for about 15 minutes. Add the tomato paste, 1 cup of water, coarsely chopped basil leaves, parsley, cumin, and bay leaves. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, adding water if necessary. Remove the bay leaves.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 355°F. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Boil 2 eggs and chop them coarsely. In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta with the meat mixture, add the chopped eggs, 3 lightly beaten raw eggs, cheese, salt, and pepper.

Step 4

Line a baking sheet with puff pastry, spread the meat and pasta mixture on top, and cover with another layer of pastry. Pinch the edges of the pastry and make holes with a fork. Bake for about 30 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
