Baked Ham with Parmesan
Ingredients
- Bouillon cube 2 pieces
- Butter 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Milk 20 fl oz
- Dijon Mustard 2 tablespoons
- Paprika ¼ teaspoon
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 5 oz
- Leek 12 pieces
- Smoked Ham on the Bone 20 oz
- Basil 1 stem
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Bring 1 liter of water to a boil and dissolve the broth cubes in it.
Step 3
Add the leeks, cut into small pieces, and simmer on low heat for 8–10 minutes (until soft).
Step 4
Drain in a colander.
Step 5
Melt the butter in a saucepan.
Step 6
Stir in the all-purpose flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 7
Gradually pour in the milk, stirring until smooth.
Step 8
Leave on the heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring, until it comes to a boil and thickens.
Step 9
Stir in the mustard.
Step 10
Combine the leeks and ham, place in a baking dish, and pour the sauce over.
Step 11
Sprinkle with Parmesan and paprika.
Step 12
Bake for 30 minutes (the top should be golden brown).
Step 13
Serve garnished with basil.
