Step 1
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Place the chicken breasts in a heatproof dish, sprinkle with herbs, and add enough water to cover the chicken. Cover with a lid and cook for about an hour until the meat is tender. You may need to add more water.
Step 2
Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool. Melt the butter. Transfer the chicken to a food processor with a small amount of broth, blend well until it reaches a pâté consistency, add the butter, and mix until smooth. Add more broth if necessary.
Step 3
Transfer the pâté to a container and chill in the refrigerator.
