Description
The pride of Armenian cuisine, a soup capable of reviving all the tired and hungover. In addition to millet, a little flour will be needed.
Ingredients
- Matsuni 25 fl oz
- Water 0 qt
- Sour Cream 1 can
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Millet 1½ cups
- Salt to taste
- Herbs to taste
- Onion 1 head
- Butter to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour, egg, salt, and millet until smooth.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the matsun, sour cream, and water (the sour cream is used to balance the taste, making it less sour and a bit sweet. It can be omitted if desired).
Step 3
Gradually pour the matsun mixture into the egg-flour mixture. Stir well to avoid lumps and place on low heat.
Step 4
Stir the soup periodically until it begins to boil, and once it starts boiling, stir constantly (a whisk can be used) to prevent the egg from curdling. Cook until the desired consistency is reached. It will turn into a creamy soup.
Step 5
Add butter, sautéed onions, and chopped fresh herbs to the finished soup.
