Armenian Pilaf
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Vermicelli 5 oz
- Rice 2 cups
- Chicken Broth 4 cups
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a saucepan or small frying pan. Break the vermicelli into small pieces, add it to the pot, and cook until golden brown, stirring. Add the rice and mix to coat the rice well with butter. Add the hot broth and season with salt.
Step 2
Cook, covered, on low heat until the liquid evaporates (about 25 minutes). Gently fluff with a fork. Let it sit in a warm place for 15–20 minutes before serving.
