Argentinian Braised Beef
Ingredients
- Beef 30 oz
- Lard 5 oz
- Onion 10 oz
- Sweet Pepper 15 oz
- Thyme 0 oz
- Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
- Lemon 1 piece
- Garlic 0 oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Red Long Chili Peppers to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the beef into 2x2 cm cubes. Chop the onion and garlic, and dice the bacon into small cubes. Sauté everything in vegetable oil, then add the meat and sauté as well.
Step 2
Then transfer to individual clay pots, add water to cover the meat, season with salt, black and red pepper, and thyme, and simmer. Shortly before the meat is done, add sliced rings of sweet bell pepper, and after 15 minutes, add grated lemon zest and sugar pieces. Serve with boiled fluffy rice.
