Description

Apples stuffed with chicken mince and prunes

Ingredients

  • Apple 4 pieces
  • Pork Mince 10 oz
  • Pitted Wild Apricots 0 oz
  • Onion ½ head
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Walnuts 0 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
  • Honey 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Finely chop the onion and garlic, and sauté in vegetable oil. Add the mince and cook for 5–7 minutes. Transfer the mince to a bowl, add finely chopped prunes, walnuts, and the egg. Mix thoroughly.

Step 2

Wash the apples, cut off the tops, remove the cores and some of the flesh. The walls should be about 1 cm thick. Brush the insides of the apples with a mixture of lemon juice and honey using a brush. Fill the apples with the chicken filling, cover with the cut-off tops. Brush the tops again with the lemon-honey mixture.

Step 3

Place the apples in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 355°F for 20 minutes.
