  • Lean Beef 20 oz
  • Ground meat 20 oz
  • Breadcrumbs 0 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
  • Parsley 5 oz
  • Basil 4 tablespoons
  • Oregano 1 teaspoon
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat the eggs, chop the herbs, remove the seeds and finely chop the red pepper. Mix all the ingredients, squeezing the meat mixture between your fingers until everything is combined. Instead of breadcrumbs, you can use matzo meal.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 355°F. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, capacity 1 kg. Place the meat mixture into the pan, set the pan on a baking sheet, and bake for about 1.5 hours until cooked through.

Step 3

The meat will release a lot of juice, so let the meatloaf sit in the pan for 15–20 minutes until all the juice is absorbed back. Turn the meatloaf onto a cutting board and slice into thick pieces. Cool down. It can also be frozen — either whole or sliced.
