Ingredients
- Young zucchini 25 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Ground Dried Garlic 0 oz
- Khmeli-suneli 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
- Baking Powder 0 oz
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- Cucumbers 0 oz
- Cilantro 0 oz
- Scallions 0 oz
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Grate the zucchini using a coarse grater.
Step 3
Grate the onion on a fine grater.
Step 4
Transfer the zucchini and onion to a sieve lined with cheesecloth, sprinkle with salt, toss to combine, and let sit for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Thoroughly squeeze out the moisture from the vegetables.
Step 6
Combine the vegetables, egg, minced garlic, khmeli suneli, flour, and baking powder.
Step 7
Preheat the waffle iron and grease it with vegetable oil.
Step 8
Spoon some of the zucchini batter into the waffle maker and close it, cooking for 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
Step 9
For the sauce, finely chop the cilantro and green onions, and grate the cucumber using a fine grater.
Step 10
Mix the sour cream with the herbs, cucumber, and garlic pressed through a garlic press. Add salt to taste.
Step 11
Dip the cooked zucchini waffles in sour cream sauce.
