Zucchini Tart with Tomatoes and Basil

Ingredients

  • Shortcrust Cake Mix 20 oz
  • Fresh basil leaves 20 pieces
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Gruyère cheese ¼ cup
  • Courgette 1 piece
  • Yellow Cherry Tomatoes 3 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 355°F.

Step 2

Place the pastry in a round tart pan, spread it out, trim the excess, and poke holes in several places with a fork. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Step 3

Finely chop 10 basil leaves.

Step 4

In a large bowl, mix olive oil, finely chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

Step 5

Sprinkle the bottom of the slightly cooled crust with grated cheese, then place whole basil leaves on top. Slice the zucchini and tomatoes thinly into rounds and brush with garlic oil. Alternate them on top of the basil. Brush with garlic oil again on top and bake for 8-10 minutes. Serve warm.
