Zucchini in Beer Batter

Ingredients

  • Courgette 2 pieces
  • Beer 5 fl oz
  • Wheat Flour 10 oz
  • Mixed Ground Peppers to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 5 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Slice the zucchini into rings about 1 cm thick. Sprinkle with salt.

Step 2

Prepare the batter. Add beer to the flour (you may need more or less beer). The batter should have the consistency of 20% sour cream. Add a pinch of salt and mixed peppers to taste.

Step 3

In a hot skillet with vegetable oil, place the zucchini rings coated in batter. Flip the zucchini to the other side before the batter has set on top — this will make them fluffy.

Step 4

Fry until golden brown. Remove from the skillet onto a paper towel!!! (Excess oil is not needed here).

Step 5

Serve with sour cream.
