Ziti with Sausages, Mushrooms, and Cognac in Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- Sausages 10 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Cognac 0 fl oz
- Fresh Mushrooms 10 oz
- Campbell's Beef Broth 5 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Chili Flakes to taste
- Ziti Pasta 10 oz
- Cream (40%) 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a skillet well. Remove the sausages from their casing and chop finely. Transfer to the skillet and sauté until browned, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute. Transfer to a plate.
Step 2
In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the sausages and cognac, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring. Season with salt, pepper, and add a bit of red pepper flakes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.
Step 4
Add the mushroom sauce and cream to the pasta, and mix well. Check the seasoning and serve.
