Yeast dough for pizza with butter
Ingredients
- Milk ½ glasses
- Butter 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 2½ glasses
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Coarse Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the milk to about 37–100°F, slightly warmer than body temperature, and pour it into the crumbled yeast. Stir to combine.
Step 2
Whisk the egg with sugar (one tablespoon, heaping) and salt (at least one teaspoon, level) until it turns white.
Step 3
Pour the melted butter and beaten egg into the milk with the yeast. Stir well.
Step 4
Gradually add the sifted flour to the mixture.
Step 5
Knead the dough and place it in a container that is twice the volume of the dough. After 1.5 hours, punch down the dough. Place it back for another 30 minutes. Punch down again.
Step 6
Roll the prepared dough into a thin circle (5–6 mm thick).
Step 7
Bake the pizza for 25–27 minutes in an oven preheated to 355°F.
