Yaki Udon (Noodles with Seafood Japanese Style)
Ingredients
- Udon Noodles 15 oz
- Safflower Oil 2 tablespoons
- Scallops 5 oz
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp 15 oz
- Scallions 4 pieces
- Peanut Sprouts 10 oz
- Shimeji mushrooms 15 pieces
- Seaweed Salad 4 teaspoons
- Dried Bonito Flakes 4 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce 4 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the seaweed in hot water for a while. Drain.
Step 2
In boiling water, cook the noodles until done (7–15 minutes). Drain and rinse under cold water. Dry.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Add the scallops cut into small pieces and the shrimp. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Then add the finely chopped green onion, bean sprouts, thinly sliced mushrooms, and seaweed. Stir-fry for another couple of minutes.
Step 4
Add the noodles and remaining ingredients, season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for a minute. Plate and serve.
