Description

Whole Wheat Lasagna

Ingredients

  • Onion 1 head
  • Lean Beef 30 oz
  • Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 20 oz
  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Olive Oil 5 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour 1½ tablespoons
  • Parmesan Cheese 10 oz
  • Fresh basil leaves to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Ocean salt to taste
  • Garlic 2 cloves

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Finely chop the onion. In a skillet heated with a drop of olive oil, add the onion, crush the garlic, lightly sauté, and then add the ground beef. Cook until the beef is evenly browned. Add the tomatoes, simmer until cooked, then add salt, basil, and ground pepper. The Bolognese sauce is ready!

Step 2

Prepare the béchamel sauce: in a saucepan, pour in 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 60 grams of butter. Place it over heat, and as soon as it starts bubbling, add the flour and stir well to break up any lumps. Pour in the milk, reduce the heat, and cook until thickened (but not too thick, as the sauce will better soak the layers).

Step 3

Grate the Parmesan cheese using a fine grater.

Step 4

Prepare a baking dish greased with oil.

Step 5

Pour warm water into a deep plate. Dip the lasagna sheets in the warm water, laying them evenly on the bottom of the dish. Pour a little béchamel sauce on top, then the Bolognese, grated Parmesan, more sheets, and so on, until all ingredients are used. The final layer should be generously covered with béchamel sauce, sprinkled with cheese, and again topped with béchamel sauce.

Step 6

Bake in the oven at 340°F for 35–40 minutes.
