White Bean Dip
Appetizers • European
Description
Similar to hummus, you can use dry white beans – soaked in cold water beforehand and boiled for about an hour and a half. You can cook them with a whole onion, a tomato, and a couple of sprigs of dill added to the water.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes ½ pieces
- Canned Baby Beets 2 cans
- Fresh basil leaves 0 oz
- Basil 0 oz
- Olive Oil 4 spoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice 2 spoons
- TABASCO® 0,1 teaspoons
- Salt ½ spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Drain the liquid from the cans of beans into a bowl — it might come in handy. Rinse the beans thoroughly and transfer them to another bowl.
Step 2
Add half a peeled and seeded tomato, finely chopped basil, olive oil, lemon juice, Tabasco, salt, and a couple of tablespoons of water to it. Blend everything together, adding a little water or the liquid leftover from the beans if the dip becomes too thick.
Step 3
Before serving, place the sauce in the refrigerator for one hour.
