Warm appetizer of olives and green olives with fennel, garlic, and orange zest
Ingredients
- Pitted olives 2 cups
- Pitted olives ½ cup
- Water 2 cups
- Olive Oil 2 teaspoons
- Cumin leaves ½ teaspoon
- Garlic 1 clove
- Nigella Seeds ¼ teaspoon
- Orange zest ¼ teaspoon
- Champagne Vinegar ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the green and black olives in a small bowl and cover with water. Let sit for 10 minutes. Drain and dry.
Step 2
In a small skillet, combine the olive oil, black and green olives, crushed cumin and garlic, fennel seeds, and orange zest. Set over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes, until fragrant with garlic and the oil is well heated.
Step 3
Remove from heat, add the vinegar, mix well, and let cool slightly. Serve warm.
