
Vegetarian Pasta with Cheese Sauce

You can use regular cow's milk if desired.
Ingredients
- Pasta (corkscrew) 10 oz
- Breadcrumbs ½ cup
- Cheshire Cheese 10 oz
- Almond 1½ cups
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cook the pasta until al dente, then drain the water.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 3
In 0.5 cups of milk, mix the flour until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk until warm and pour in the flour mixture (stirring constantly).
Step 4
Cut the cheese into small pieces, add it to the milk mixture, and stir for about 5 minutes until it melts and the sauce comes to a boil. Pour the resulting cheese sauce over the pasta and mix.
Step 5
Place the pasta in a low baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, cover with a lid, and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the lid and leave the pasta in the oven for another 5 minutes to brown.
