Description
Pesto sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days, but it should be well covered with olive oil in the container. Pesto sauce can also be stored in the freezer. However, the best flavor is, of course, from freshly made pesto.
Ingredients
- Basil leaves 40 pieces
- Pine nuts 0 oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- Salt to taste
- Olive Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the basil leaves and dry them.
Step 2
In a blender, combine the basil, garlic clove (without the core), pine nuts, and a pinch of salt. Blend the sauce until smooth and transfer it to a storage container.
Step 3
Drizzle olive oil on top of the sauce to cover its surface.
Step 4
Pesto sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days, but it should be well covered with olive oil in the container.
