Vegan Cheese Cream with Red Pepper
Ingredients
- Herbed Tofu 5 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Black Bean Paste 2 teaspoons
- Lime ½ piece
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Fresh basil leaves ¼ cup
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Ground Nutmeg a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Place the pepper on a baking sheet lined with foil and roast until soft and slightly charred. Transfer to a plastic bag and let sit for 15 minutes. Cool and remove the skin.
Step 2
In a blender, combine the chopped pepper, finely chopped (seedless) chili, tofu, miso paste, juice of half a lime, minced garlic, chopped basil, water, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
