Veal Rolls with Mozzarella
Ingredients
- Melted Cheese 10 oz
- Veal 20 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 4 pieces
- Thyme 5 sprigs
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 5 tablespoons
- Balsamic Vinegar 4 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the bell peppers into thin strips and slice the mozzarella into thin rounds.
Step 2
Slice the veal across the grain into small pieces no thicker than 1 cm. Wrap each piece of meat in plastic wrap and gently pound it thin. Season with salt and pepper on both sides. Place a slice of mozzarella and a bit of pepper in the center, roll it up, and tie with string or secure with a toothpick. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Step 3
Sear the prepared rolls on both sides in a well-heated skillet with olive oil until golden brown.
Step 4
In a deep, ovenproof dish, pour in 150 ml of water, add balsamic vinegar, butter, and thyme sprigs. Place the seared rolls in the dish and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20 minutes.
