
Valencian-style Fideua

Description
Traditionally, fideua is made with monkfish, but it can be substituted with any white-fleshed fish.
Ingredients
- Sea Bass 10 oz
- Seafood cocktail 10 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Paprika ½ spoons
- Canned Tomatoes (Pelati) 5 oz
- Saffron a pinch
- Vermicelli 5 oz
- Chicken Broth 20 fl oz
- Lemon 0 oz
- Parsley to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Remove the fillet from the fish and cut it into pieces about 3 cm on each side.
Step 3
Chop the garlic and dice the onion.
Step 4
Heat a paella pan or any flat skillet, and warm some olive oil in it.
Step 5
Add salt and sauté the sea bass.
Step 6
After about 5 minutes of frying the fish, make some space in the skillet and add the onion, sautéing and stirring for 2 minutes.
Step 7
Then add the garlic, and after 30 seconds, add the paprika, tomatoes, saffron, and salt. Mix everything together.
Step 8
Add the noodles and sauté for 2 minutes, then pour in the broth and add the seafood, distributing everything evenly. Once the broth comes to a boil, do not stir anymore and cook for 10 minutes. Then reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 3 minutes.
Step 9
Remove the finished dish from the heat, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rest for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
Step 10
Serve.
