
Tomato Sauce for Pizza

Description
Instead of dried basil, you can use Italian herbs.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 20 oz
- Olive Oil 2 spoons
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Fresh basil leaves ½ spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the tomatoes in boiling water for 10-15 seconds. Remove them, peel off the skin, chop into pieces, put them in a blender, and blend until smooth.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and garlic, and sauté them in vegetable or olive oil for 2-3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and simmer over medium heat until the liquid evaporates. Season with salt and pepper, and add basil.
