Tomato salsa
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 4 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce 2 spoons
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Carrot 5 oz
- Celery salt 1 stalk
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Chili jam 4 spoons
- Spiced Tomato Juice 5 fl oz
- Basil 0 oz
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Butter 0 oz
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion, garlic, celery, and carrot, and sauté them in olive oil until soft. Add the finely chopped tomatoes (after removing their insides), finely chopped bell pepper, tomato paste, and tomato juice, and simmer for five minutes.
Step 2
Then add sweet and spicy chili sauce and chopped basil, stir well, and simmer for an additional five minutes.
Step 3
Pour the sauce into a blender and blend until smooth, then strain through a fine sieve and return to the heat. Season with salt and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and whisk in the ice-cold butter, cut into small cubes.
