Description

If the fresh yeast is frozen, you can save time by dissolving it in boiled water (not boiling!). The yeast will dissolve in 5 minutes with constant stirring.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 4 cups
  • Sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Coarse Salt 2 teaspoons
  • Water 1½ cups
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Olive Oil ¼ cup

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 Image

Step 1

Sift the flour through a sieve into a deep bowl. Add sugar and salt. Mix well.

Step 2 Image

Step 2

Dissolve the fresh yeast in warm water until fully dissolved. Add to the mixture (step 1) and gently stir with a spoon.

Step 3 Image

Step 3

Add olive oil and knead the dough by hand. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 5–10 minutes.

Step 4 Image

Step 4

Remove the dough from the bowl and it is ready to use. The resulting dough is enough for 1–2 baking sheets (depending on the thickness of the crust). Additionally, the dough can be divided into portioned pieces, wrapped in plastic wrap, and stored in the freezer for later use.
