Description

Teriyaki Sauce with Ginger

Ingredients

  • Soy Sauce 5 fl oz
  • Mirin 5 fl oz
  • Grated Ginger Root 2 teaspoons
  • Brown Sugar 6 teaspoons
  • Ground Dried Garlic 1 teaspoon
  • Corn Starch 2 teaspoons
  • Honey 2 tablespoons
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
  • Water 5 fl oz
  • Olive Oil 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Add all ingredients to a saucepan.

Step 2

Turn on medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then simmer for another 5 minutes.

Step 3

Let it cool. If it doesn't look very thick, that's okay; it will thicken over time. The teriyaki sauce is ready.

Step 4

After 15–20 minutes, when the sauce has cooled slightly, transfer it to a glass container with a lid. Store it in the refrigerator.
