- Butter 0 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese 3 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Rye Bread 2 slices

Step 1
In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Beat the eggs and pour them into the saucepan, mixing with the butter. Over medium heat, constantly stir the eggs, preventing the mixture from setting at the bottom. Add the cream cheese and mix thoroughly, allowing the cheese to melt.
Step 2
When the mixture begins to thicken, remove the saucepan from the heat and continue stirring; the eggs will continue to cook due to the heat from the bottom. Add salt and pepper, and if desired, seasonings to taste or fresh herbs. If necessary, return the saucepan to the heat. Stir until the mixture is thick enough but still maintains a tender, creamy consistency.
Step 3
At the same time, toast the bread in a skillet or toaster. Serve the toast topped with the eggs, and if desired, add sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, or canned beans.
