Tartar with Capers
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 3 pieces
- Olive Oil 5 fl oz
- Sour Cream 1 tablespoon
- Pickles 6 pieces
- Capers 1 tablespoon
- Dill 1 teaspoon
- Champagne Vinegar 1 teaspoon
- Dijon Mustard 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil 2 eggs hard. Peel them, remove the yolks (the whites are not needed) and grate them on a fine grater.
Step 2
Separate the yolk from the white of the remaining egg.
Step 3
Whisk the yolks and mustard until smooth. Then, in a thin stream, add the oil while continuing to whisk.
Step 4
Next, add the vinegar (you can replace it with lemon juice if desired) and sour cream and whisk a little more.
Step 5
Finely chop the pickles (small gherkins), capers, and dill. You should have 2 tablespoons of pickles, 1 tablespoon of capers, and 1 teaspoon of dill. Add to the sauce and mix.
Step 6
You can also add finely chopped green onions. (According to the rules, it is added).
Step 7
Chill.
