Description
Sweet pizza with red currants
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Salt to taste
- Dry yeast 1 teaspoon
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 2 cups
- Sherry 6 tablespoons
- Water 5 fl oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese 5 oz
- Lemon ½ piece
- Orange zest 1 piece
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Cream 3 tablespoons
- Red Currant 10 oz
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour. Dissolve the yeast in warm water, mix with the flour, add salt, olive oil, sugar, and sherry. Knead the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
Step 2
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Whip the cream cheese in a bowl until soft. Gradually add the zest and juice of the orange and lemon, vanilla, cream, and powdered sugar. Grease a baking sheet with oil.
Step 3
Transfer the dough to a floured surface, shaping it into a circle with a diameter of 30 cm. Place it on the baking sheet and spread the cream filling, leaving 1 cm from the edge. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let it sit in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Sprinkle with currants and generously dust with powdered sugar. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar and serve cold or hot.
