
Sweet Pilaf with Pumpkin

Description
You can add more water during the cooking process; the rice and pumpkin should be well cooked. You can omit the apples from the recipe, and feel free to add cinnamon if desired.
Ingredients
- Rice 2 cups
- Pumpkin 20 oz
- Milk 1 cup
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 6 tablespoons
- Raisins 5 oz
- Water 6 cups
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the rice in water, add salt, and cook until half done.
Step 2
Then, add diced pumpkin, sugar, and a cup of milk.
Step 3
When there is very little liquid left, add the butter, diced apples, and rinsed raisins. Cook until the rice is done, then turn off the heat, cover the pot with a lid, and let it sit for an hour.
