Sweet Pepper with Lemon
Ingredients
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Orange Bell Peppers 6 pieces
- Meyer Lemon Juice 3 tablespoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves 1 tablespoon
- Grated Lemon Zest 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Remove the stems and seeds from the peppers, rinse them, cut into strips, and blanch in boiling salted water for 2 minutes. Drain the water. Then sauté the peppers in butter for 2 minutes. Add the lemon juice and zest. Season with salt and pepper, and stir. Simmer for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 2
When serving, sprinkle with chopped herbs.
