Sweet French toast with jam
Ingredients
- White bread 10 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Cinnamon to taste
- Chili jam to taste
- Butter 0 oz
- Honey 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whisk the egg, yolk, and milk until smooth. Add honey and whisk again.
Step 2
Cut the bread into pieces 1.5 cm thick. Prepare a large skillet by adding butter and placing it over medium heat. Dip each piece of bread into the egg-milk mixture on both sides, waiting for the bread to absorb the liquid. Place the pieces on a clean plate on top of each other so they start frying simultaneously.
Step 3
Fry the French toast under a lid until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side.
Step 4
Reduce the heat to low, spread a little jam on the top side of the fried toast, sprinkle with cinnamon, and warm over the heat under a lid for another minute. Serve hot.
