Description
Sugudai is an appetizer made from fresh, lightly marinated fish, popular in northern Russia. The marinades are quite simple: lots of onions, vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
Ingredients
- Red drum fish 0 lbs
- Onion 20 oz
- Vinegar essence 0 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Cut the fresh fish into cubes about 2 cm on each side, after removing the skin and bones.
Step 3
Slice the onion into half-moons.
Step 4
Combine the onion with the fish.
Step 5
Add salt.
Step 6
Add the pepper.
Step 7
Add vinegar.
Step 8
Let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
Step 9
Dress with oil.
Step 10
Serve.
