
Stuffed Mushrooms with Meat

Description
It is best to choose mushrooms with caps that are 5–6 centimeters in diameter.
Ingredients
- Fresh Mushrooms 12 pieces
- Ground meat 5 oz
- Gherkins 5 pieces
- Herbs to taste
- Orange Bell Peppers ½ piece
- Garlic to taste
- Spices to taste
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 3 tablespoons
- Mayonnaise 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the ground meat, finely chopped gherkins, bell pepper, and herbs. Add a little salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Mix well. Then add mayonnaise and mix thoroughly again.
Step 3
Remove the stems from the mushrooms. Rinse well, cleaning out the insides from the membranes.
Step 4
Fill the caps with the stuffing, heaping it up.
Step 5
Line a baking sheet with foil. Place the mushrooms on it, cover with a second sheet of foil, and bake for 15 minutes. Then remove the top sheet of foil, sprinkle each mushroom with cheese, and return to the oven until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
Step 6
Serve hot.
