Stuffed Crab Sticks in Batter
Ingredients
- Cheese Spread 10 oz
- Crab sticks in brine 5 oz
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Parsley to taste
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Mayonnaise to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the filling, grate the cheese. Wash 2 cloves of garlic, peel them, and press them through a garlic press, then add a bit of mayonnaise and mix everything together.
Step 2
Carefully unroll the crab sticks, place the filling inside, and roll them back into stick shape.
Step 3
For the batter, separate the egg whites from the yolks and place the whites in the refrigerator. Mix the yolks with salt. Then add the milk to the yolks and lightly beat. Gradually add the flour and knead the batter. After that, whip the chilled egg whites into a stiff foam and fold them into the batter. Gently mix and dip the prepared crab sticks into the batter.
Step 4
In a small pot, heat vegetable oil and fry the crab sticks. Carefully remove the fried crab sticks from the oil and place them on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
Step 5
For the sauce, wash the remaining garlic, peel it, and mince it through a garlic press. Wash, dry, and chop the herbs. Then mix everything together, add sour cream, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and mix well.
Step 6
Before serving, place the finished crab sticks in batter on a plate and drizzle with the sauce.
