Description

Strawberry Jam with Vermouth and Rosemary

Ingredients

  • Strawberry 70 oz
  • Sugar 70 oz
  • White Vermouth 0 fl oz
  • Fresh Rose Hips 2 sprigs
  • Balsamic Vinegar 0 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the ripe strawberries, place them in an enamel pot, sprinkle with sugar, shake the container to ensure the sugar completely coats the berries, and let sit for 5-6 hours, covered with a cloth.

Step 2

Once enough juice is released, place on medium heat and bring to a boil.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to low, add the balsamic vinegar and rosemary sprigs, and let simmer for 10 minutes, making sure nothing burns.

Step 4

Remove the rosemary, pour in the vermouth, and turn off the heat after 3 minutes.

Step 5

Pour into sterilized jars.
